Conflict

My work starts at 8:30 am and end at 17 hundred hours.
The day before yesterday, i was called for a meeting at 4:30 pm, much to my shock and dismay. 6 people in the room, 2 of then never agrees with one another on anything. One cannot convince the other on anything. But since a decision had to be taken, either of the 2 gives in/up just because they don’t want to argue anymore. Of course, according to them, they r 'discussing'.
The meeting ended at 7:50 pm.
Am sure it would have ended at 5 if either one of the 2 didn’t attend the meeting.

Then I wondered, what was the point of all that bickering anyway.
